Lifestyle Factors That Could Be Preventing Pregnancy

If you or your partner smoke, drink frequently, abuse drugs or drink excessive amounts of caffeine, you may not be able to get pregnant. These lifestyle choices negatively affect sperm count and motility in men and can lead to irregular ovulation in women. Healthier lifestyle choices for both you and your partner can help improve your chances of successful conception. In addition to avoiding smoking, drinking, drugs and caffeine, you should also avoid exposure to chemicals and use of artificial sweeteners. Too little and too much weight can also impact your ability to get pregnant, so making an effort to either gain weight or lose weight can help improve your chances of getting pregnant. For best results, keep stress levels to a minimum and make sure to get adequate sleep on a regular basis.
