Causes of Morning Nausea

Morning nausea will present itself upon awakening, or it will wake you out of your sleep with a feeling of uneasiness in your stomach. Sometimes nausea will bring about vomiting, but this is not always the case.

There are many health conditions that show morning nausea as one of their symptoms.

Nausea is something that happens involuntarily, and it is an action regulated by the central nervous system. During the early months of pregnancy, more than 50 percent of women feel nauseous in the morning.

Aside from missed periods, another common symptom of pregnancy is nausea in the morning hours, or “morning sickness”. Morning nausea while pregnant often occurs when the body produces more hormones during the first few months after conception.
